At AECOM, we understand the constant challenge of maintaining the clean water supply to all of our homes and ensuring that all our waste water is comprehensively treated to ensure the ecological balance of our environment, as such our established Water team in Belfast are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Electrical Engineer to join its team of professionals.
You will be working on a broad range of projects with the opportunity to work on projects dealing with the transport and treatment of waste water and clean water, working closely with Process, Civil and Mechanical Engineers within the team to give you a holistic view of each project.
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Production of equipment and drive schedules;
• Production of engineering specification documents as part of contractual packages;
• Working with our clients to assist them with project delivery, asset and network performance and design;
• Liaise with internal and external design teams, clients and contractors as appropriate;
• Provision of timely reporting to both the client and internal team lead;
• Carrying out design reviews of contractor submissions.
Our experts deliver comprehensive services from concept to completion and beyond that help ensure sustainable results for our clients. We are knowledgeable in all types of clean water and waste water treatment, pumping stations, Combined Sewer Overflows and related issues. Our staff analyse impacts of potential strategies ranging from the ecological to the regulatory and the socio-economic, as well as from the standpoint of engineering feasibility.
A working knowledge of hydraulic systems
Experience within the water industry from either a Contractor/Consultant/ Client perspective
Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive;
Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) along with good report writing skills;
Knowledge and experience of design viewer programmes, to allow you to interrogate designs and provide timely and constructive feedback.
BEng in (Mechanical/Electrical) Engineering (2:1 or equivalent);
An MEng in (Mechanical/Electrical) Engineering (2:1 or equivalent) would be preferred;
